Undone by Pizza !
Yes , I am back after quite a long lay off .... And all the credit goes to " Pizza Corner " ! Yes , the new outlet of Pizza Corner opened recently @ Electronics City , Bangalore .
Sunday , 15th July 2007 :
On Sunday's , here in IIIT B , we need to go out and have our dinner . So everyone was planning where to go and relieve our empty stomachs which were now the home of rats. Actually , we guys were planning from quite sometime to have Pizza's at the nearby Domino's. So everyone thought why not to go to Pizza Corner which recently opened up.
On that very moment one of my friend Vikranth Ramanolla , used his wits and said : "Yes , this way I will treat you guys and since my birthday treat is almost due from two months , lets have a party ". Hearing this , I guess , there won't be any single soul on this holy earth to say "No" when you are being offered a treat . So , we all got ready to have a go at the Pizza's .
We ( Vikranth aka VikkyDada , Sashank aka Shanki , Nareen aka Neo , Ravi aka Fury, Ravikanth aka Kantham , Durga aka Durgai and myself aka Munna ) headed towards Pizza Corner . Only Rajashekar aka Ducky was missing the party and fun !
We reached there and took our seats . The waiter came and gave water and the Menu card . We started to pull down the menu and our eyes started to roll over on the various items listed . Myself and Ravi planned to order for Chicken Supreme - which is a combination of chicken tikka, chicken loaf , chicken salami , onion and riped tomatoes. Yeah with Pizza base ofcourse ! Ravikanth and Vikranth planned to order punjabi chicken tikka . Sashank was the lone vegetarian in the group and as quoted by Ravi : " a person who plays the perfect spoilsport in the group of Non - vegetarian's ( :P ... No hard feelings mate !) " . He ordered for Margherita . Nareen and Durga were about to order when the waiter came and interrupted the proceedings ! ( Beginning of getting screwed !) He came up with an idea , where in he could satisfy everybody's hunger. He suggested us to take two large Pan Pizza's , which are soft and thick in size . He promised that they would be tasty and we will enjoy having them . So we obliged the waiter's view and reordered . We got a complimentary dish - Garlic bread with cheese ! - One of the dishes , which I never forget to have , at such places . We wanted to order a pitcher of Coke but to our disappointment the waiter said with a smile on his face : Not available Sir ! Currently we are offering only in glasses . We all looked at each other and placed a glass of coke for everyone .
After 10 minutes , the waiter came and served us with the appetizer - garlic bread in a basket. Since , all were hungry , everyone took a piece and started to gulp it . As soon as it was over , the waiter served us with the Pizza's . The pizza's definitely looked yummy and I asked Nareen to take a snap so that I can post it somewhere . After the snap , we were all set to gulp the pizza . But all were waiting for something else to come . Any guesses ??? Do you guys guessed it as cold drink ??? If yes , then I am sorry , we were actually waiting for the plates to arrive on our respective tables . Few minutes passed by , but still there were no signs of plates being provided to us . I called the waiter and asked him : " Can we get some plates ? " and to my astonishment the waiter replied : " Sorry Sir ! Not available ! " ( I was keeping my fingers crossed in a hope that the waiter won't reply that way .... but damn it ! He dashed all my hopes ) ... I asked him what do you mean by " Not available ?? " He replied with a smile : " We have opened the outlet few weeks back ! " ... I was bamboozled and was about to say : so what ! .... Nareen asked him " Can you atleast provide us with knives ? " and yes , this time you guys have made the right guess ... The answer was " Sorry sir ! " ... Reason being the same .... I was wondering , how on this holy earth one got a thought to open up a new pizza corner outlet with no plates and no knives .
Everyone started eating pizza's : poor tissue papers taking the place of the regular plates ! And yet again , Pizza's continued the ill fated proceedings ... The pizza's were pathetic and none of us were satisfied with the meal ...
Heard of - undone by brilliance , undone by cell phones , undone by conviction .... but this was the first time I was " undone by pizza " !
Finally the tag for Pizza Corner - Perfect Spoilsport !
