Here i am sitting in my office @ night

This beautiful poem which I received as a forward explains and tells how life has changed leaps and bounds from student life to professional life ...

Read and enjoy !

Here i am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life …
How it changed from a maverick college life to strict professional life…
How tiny pocket money changed to huge monthly paychecks
but then why it gives less happiness….
How a few local denim jeans changed to new branded wardrobe
but then why there are less people to use them …
How a single plate of samosa changed to a full Pizza or burger
But then why there is less hunger…..
Here i am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed…..
How a bike always in reserve changed to a car always on full
but then why there are less places to go ……
How a small coffee shop changed to cafe coffee day
but then why it feels like shop is far away…..
How a limited prepaid card changed to postpaid package
but then why there are less calls & more messages……
Here i am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed…...
How a general class journey changed to Flight journey
But then why are there less vacations for enjoyment….
How a old assembled desktop changed to new branded laptop
but then why there is less time to spend with it……….
How a small bunch of friends changed to office mates
But then why we always feel lonely n miss those college frnz.….
Here i am sitting in my office @ night…
Thinking hard about life
How it changed….. How it changed……..

Cricinfo with a brand new template and favicon

If you are a regular visitor at Cricinfo.com , you might have noticed that cricinfo was constantly making efforts to re-design their pages and updating new contents. This began by changing the favicon which is now bigger , clearer and more attractive than the old favicon.

When you see the new template of cricinfo , you will immediately notice and recollect with the fact that cricinfo had been
acquired by ESPN on 11th July, 2007. The new template looks glossy and has an elaborated news bar which has many headings and sub - groupings. This gives more information on the first attempt itself. With the introduction of new video panel / frame , most of the information now scrolls with the pictures and hence enabling video playbacks.

The template has been extended and now more and more categories have been brought into the template which were perhaps left hidden in the older template.

For the first time onlookers, it looks clumsy and people will think that the old template was best in view but believe me, this one really rocks !!!. You can find every damn thing out there and you will find each and every minute detail you wanted to look for !

Check out this brand new template at Cricinfo.com !

For this new Cricinfo Site a walk through has been made. To view the walk through , click here.

Earlier IBNLive.com was also revamped with a new template when they decided to host all the sites on the IN server.

Sachin not going to play T20s anymore

India's batting maestro , Sachin Tendulkar , cleared the air that he won't be part of T20s to be played in New Zealand on India's tour to New Zealand which is going to begin in the last week of February .

Sachin Tendulkar confirmed his retirement from Twenty20 Internationals saying that he did not wish to be part of the scheme of things for India in the shortest version of the game

Sachin said "he did not want to “
disturb” the team’s winning combination".

I and many like me will not agree with the decision made by the genious . I think whichever form Sachin will play , he will be a big boost to the team . I think I need not comment much because his records and volumes will speak for him.

But really feeling sad , that Sachin made such a " rubbish " decision ( According to me ! ) ..

Shayari / Poetry

Hi Folks ,

Yes , It's been quite a some time I have posted something . Reasons : So many .... So better stay away from them .

Well , yesterday I had a chat with some of my friends and during our conversation , the topic slowly shifted to so called Aashiq's and Devdas . And gosh , I never knew that my friends had so much pain that they started writing the so called hindi shayari's .

Few of them I am writing it here for the GenX Dev D's and Aashiq's :

First it was
Rahul who had the first say :

Dard to kisi ko bahut hua hai…..dard to kisi ko bahut hua hai…
par kya karen zindagi ek jua hai……

Log kehten hain hum badal chuke hain…. log kehte hain hum badal chuke hain
par baar baar ye prove karne ki koshish kyun karte hain…..

Hum chahte the usko bahut ….. hum chahte the usko bahut…..
par aaj wo kisi ke paas chali gayi hai…..
hum kya karen aaj kal “Laali” ki paribhasha badal gayi hai….

Pankaj followed up with the reply :

Ashkoan ki barsaat de gaye wo jaate jaate, Aahon ki saughaat de gaye wo jaate jaate.
Dil ne chaha tha bhar lenge use baahon me, Aarzuon ki bouchhar de gaye wo jaate jaate.

Badhaya jo khadam maine use chhune ke liye, Raho me kanten bikhair gaye wo jaate jaate.
Lada tha maine dunya se jiski khatir, Hami par waar kar gaye wo jaate jaate.

Sanjeev joined the so called waar :

Ye kaisa hain waar jo dono ka dil dukhta hain
Pyaar tha kiya humne ek duje se, ye dono ka dil puchta hain.

And
Rahul again to sum up things !

Khade the jiske liye hum bahen failaye hue….khade the jiske liye hum bahen failaye hue….

Usi ko dekhte reh gaye hum jaate hue….

Lade the wo zamaane se jiski khatir … Lade the wo zamaane se jiski khatir
usi ka waar seh na paye wo uski khatir…. usi ka waar seh na paye wo uski khatir….

Pyar to bahut karte the wo unse….pyar to bahut wo karte the unse…
Par kya wo dar gaye mauke pe kisi se….

All I had to say :

Woahhhh ..... guys ..... Cheer up ! Valentine's Day coming your way .... All the very best !

Too much love will kill you!

I have always given one piece of advice to anybody who told me they're in love which I learnt from some not so good experiences, and I ofcourse didn't want my loved ones to suffer...(nah actually I know nobody listens to anybody but advice is for free and its cool timepass!). Never loose yourself when in love, make the other person a part of your life and not your life completely! Coz god forbid if the other goes away, going gets real tough !! Also, how much of each other can you bear all the time? You've got to have a life of your own to keep everything going! I know its difficult to follow, but efforts have to be made, coz its important to love yourself first and then only can you really love the other one !!
To quote from Ayn Rand's Fountainhead, 'To say "I love you" one must first be able to say the "I."

Seeing is believing !

Have you guys ever seen a pack of dogs chasing a car? Well I'm sure you have! Once one of my little cousins asked her dad, why do they do it? He said most of the times it's because a similar car might have ran over one of their fellow dogs and they wish to take revenge for it.

And I was really amazed that how can they just assume it's the same car, just because it has the same shape? But now I know, they don't assume, for them "seeing is believing"!

And I guess this is exactly why human lives are so complex. We don't believe in what we see, we don't trust what is told to us, we rather assume, and we lie to ourselves all the time, more than we lie to the world.

Some of us tell ourselves that the love showered on us isn't true, because we don't deserve so much of it, when the truth is, we don't see who we really are.

We lie about our lovers, and that they love us much more than we love them, and that they would never leave us.

We lie about what we can or cannot achieve because it is assumed if nobody else could do it, neither can we!

We lie about how our parents have no idea of our well being, all they care about is their issues simply because we can't see what they see.

We lie to ourselves that we are unhappy because we don't have what others do, only because we never see the smile and the calm on our own faces.

But at times I think lying is good, because we also tell ourselves that tomorrow will be a better day, even if we can't see it, because the hope it gives us is more powerful than any truth we will ever know.

So I guess I will just let the dogs be, sometimes not seeing and believing is great too, keeps us alive! :)
